It’s apparent the second you see these listing photos that the HGTV star Christina Haack applied her fresh design style to this two-story home in Huntington Beach, CA.
Haack’s handiwork landed on the market for $1.39 million in late April, and offers soon followed. The home is now in contingent status, with an offer in place.
If the dreamy listing photos aren’t enough, you can catch even more of the home—and its backstory—on the upcoming third season of “Christina on the Coast.”
It’ll be interesting to see how her coveted renovation skills added to the home’s value. It last sold in August 2020 for $1.15 million.
After deducting Haack’s expenses, the owners could stand to make a sweet profit on their short tenure.
The main floor displays many of Haack’s trademarks. She broke down barrier walls and opened up the home, giving it an airy, front-to-back flow.
The kitchen—although lacking her signature island—is also on brand for her coastal vibes. It features chic gray custom cabinetry, high-end appliances, and a flashy tile backsplash—a dead giveaway for Haack’s touch.
A main-floor master suite with its own bathroom is accessed through another one of Haack’s custom touches, a handmade sliding barn door.
As for numbers, the home measures 2,424 square feet, and has five bedrooms and 2.5 bathrooms. A bonus playroom with a fireplace leaves plenty of space for the whole family.
A young family will also enjoy the location, because the property backs up to hiking and biking trails, as well as a large park with tennis courts and ball fields. A gate in the back leads out to a nature preserve. It’s also situated only blocks from the beach, in a school district that is among the best in the state.
It’s not necessary to leave the premises to enjoy a little outdoor fun. The backyard has a custom pool with a unique waterfall, and an elevated spa with a swim-up bar/table with submerged seats.
In addition to “Christina on the Coast,” Haack is still in production on “Flip or Flop,” with her first husband, Tarek El Moussa. They divorced in 2018, and Christina married Ant Anstead later that year. In September 2020, she filed for divorce from Anstead and has since reverted to using her maiden name.
