While the latest season of “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” will premiere later this month, the real estate drama is already popping off.
Following the split of cast member Erika Girardi from longtime husband Thomas Girardi, the estranged couple are selling their massive mansion in Pasadena, CA, for $13 million, according to Dirt.
Proceeds of the sale will go toward paying off a portion of the couple’s debt, only part of their mounting legal and financial troubles.
The Mediterranean mansion was built in 1928 by architect Myron Hubbard Hunt. Set on 2 picturesque acres, the 10,277-square-foot dwelling with four bedrooms and is extremely familiar to any Bravo aficionado.
Located behind a gated driveway and motor court, the home features a bronze front door, which opens to a walnut-paneled gallery with an old-world aesthetic. At one end, the elegant living room features a coffered ceiling, fireplace, and floor-to-ceiling windows.
A wall of French doors opens to landscaped grounds, fountains, and a veranda that leads to a pool. A walking path surrounds the property, which includes serene gardens, lawns, and patios.
Inside, the dining room is highlighted by a wall of windows, a fireplace, and silk wallpaper. A wood-paneled library is bookended by two fireplaces. The large, renovated eat-in kitchen with exposed beams and large island adjoins a casual dining area, and opens out to a patio.
The master suite features dual dressing areas, with one showcasing a salon area, and tub surrounded by red silk walls. The opposite wing includes two bedrooms and a private chapel.
An upstairs family room could be used as an additional bedroom. The main level includes a large guest suite with a private entrance.
Other features include a wine room, wet bar, and three-car garage with vaulted ceiling, chandeliers, and iron doors.
The home last changed hands in 1980 for $1.3 million.
Fans of the reality TV series have seen the lavish spread over the many seasons since Girardi joined the show in 2015. In Instagram posts, she sometimes showcased the opulent interiors.
The performer and singer, who is also known as Erika Jayne, married Thomas Girardi in 2000. In 2020, she announced her seemingly abrupt decision to file for divorce.
The high-flying couple have since been named in a lawsuit that alleges, among other things, the embezzlement of funds meant for families of the victims of the fatal 2018 Lion Air plane crash.
The listing notes that the impressive estate is “an opportunity to own true piece of Pasadena history”—not the least of which is the latest chapter of jaw-dropping reality TV history. What a lead-up to the 11th season of the “Housewives.” Stay tuned!
Ted Clark and Heather Lillard with Compass hold the listing.
