The first round of an attempted sale for Sylvester Stallone‘s world-class mansion ended without a decision.

After almost four months on the market, the bell now rings on Round 2. To entice a buyer to step into the ring, the price has been chopped by 22%—reduced from $110 million to $85 million.

Stallone reportedly bought the land in the 1990s, and proceeded to build the spectacular 3.5-acre hilltop estate to his own exceptional taste. The glamorous mansion was move-in ready in 1994.

If there’s any doubt of the home’s provenance, a quick look in many of the rooms reveals props from his movies, as well as Stallone likenesses on artwork and decor displayed throughout the home. His presence is on full display in his office—check out the Rambo mailbox and those gleaming awards adorning the fireplace mantel.

In total, the estate has eight bedrooms, nine full bathrooms, and three half-bathrooms. The amount of living space is undetermined, but with such large rooms and multiple indoor/outdoor spaces, as well as an eight-car garage and art studio, you can be sure the official amount of square footage is eye-popping.

The property is situated behind double gates in prestigious, secluded North Beverly Park. Prominent neighbors have included the pop sensation Justin Bieber, Oscar winner Denzel Washington, and Sofia Vergara, star of “Modern Family.”

As elegant as their mansions are, even they would be impressed by some of Stallone’s more impressive accoutrements, which include a plush home theater, an elegant cigar room, and an extraordinary custom bar.

There’s also a large, fully equipped gym worthy of a prizefighter.

The huge kitchen is also a knockout, thanks to its double islands, chic custom cabinetry, and adjacent breakfast nook, with floor-to-ceiling windows.

As is to be expected, the spacious primary suite is a sight to behold. It features a fireplace, lounge and dressing areas, dual bathrooms, apartment-sized closets, a sauna, and a steam room, as well as an office with a terrace.

Outside, the sprawling grounds include an infinity pool and spa with views of Los Angeles, plus a putting green and multiple patios and conversation/dining areas.

Stallone didn’t cut any corners on guest accommodations. He hired one of Hollywood’s favorite architects, Richard Landry, to design a two-story guesthouse. Those spacious quarters come with a full kitchen, dining room, and living room, plus two bedroom suites.

Why would Stallone be willing to leave such a paradise? Well, in December, he purchased an estate in Palm Beach, FL, for which he paid $35,375,000. That one’s a waterfront property that also has a lavish mansion, a guesthouse, and a beautiful pool, as well as a boat dock large enough to accommodate a yacht.

Stallone had already decreased his West Coast real estate footprint, having sold his desert golf oasis in La Quinta, CA, last spring for $3.15 million. That was a bit of a body blow, given that he had paid $4.5 million for the property in 2010.

Jade Mills with Coldwell Banker has the listing for the Beverly Hills mansion.
