Melissa McCarthy has purchased a seriously sweet pad in Valley Village, CA, according to Variety. She and husband Ben Falcone added the luxury retreat to their SoCal property portfolio, spending $2.4 million on Valentine’s Day.
The brand-new build sent buyers on a bidding frenzy when it was listed in January for $2,189,000.
So in addition to her on-screen talents, McCarthy also has killer instincts when it comes to real estate.
The one-story, 2,800-square-foot home has four bedrooms and 3.5 bathrooms. It features an open floor plan, including a chef’s kitchen with custom cabinetry, high-end fixtures, and a large island with seating. Opposite the kitchen is a dining area with skylights. The light-filled living space opens to a large backyard through floor-to-ceiling, sliding glass doors.
The living areas continue outside with a pool and spa with water feature, and a covered space for dining and entertaining. The yard features a lush lawn and landscaping, and the property includes a two-car garage.
The master suite boasts dual closets, a master bath with walk-in shower, soaking tub, and double vanity, and access to the backyard.
Additional interior details include wide-plank flooring, custom paneling, designer light fixtures, and a built-in speaker system.
The couple also own a larger home in L.A.’s Toluca Lake neighborhood. Also in the same area is their charming 1940s bungalow, which they offered as a rental for $10,000 a month last March.
McCarthy is an Oscar-nominated actress whose credits include the acclaimed drama “Can You Ever Forgive Me?” and the hysterically funny “Bridesmaids.” Falcone is also an actor, director, and producer.
The property was represented by Dennis Chernov with Keller Williams Realty in Studio City.
