Grammy-winning R&B singer and performer Abel Tesfaye, also known as The Weeknd, just dropped $21 million on a unit in one of the most exclusive residential towers in Los Angeles, according to the Los Angeles Times.
Located in the Beverly West tower in Westwood, the penthouse is one of the highest-priced condo sales ever recorded in the Los Angeles area.
The Weeknd, 29, is known for such hits as “Can’t Feel My Face,” “The Hills,” and “Heartless.” He broke into the music scene with the 2011 mixtape “House of Balloons” and went on to work with superstars such as Drake and Wiz Khalifa. The singer’s new penthouse is fittingly called “the mogul.”
The property was listed by Hilton & Hyland’s Bill Simpson. The luxury abode occupies the entire 18th floor of the 22-story high-rise.
The sleek space includes four beds, four baths, and two half-baths. The condo rises above the golf course fairways of the Los Angeles Country Club, and features views from the Pacific Ocean to the Santa Monica Mountains, to downtown L.A.
The 8,215-square-foot residence features high ceilings, walnut paneling, wide-plank oak flooring, floor-to-ceiling windows, high-end fixtures, and direct elevator access.
The penthouse is infused with deep colors, textures, and contemporary decor.
Featuring modern lines and contemporary decor, the master bedroom offers spectacular views and plenty of natural lighting.
The penthouse also features a sleek, top-of-the-line designer kitchen.
The Beverly West tower was developed by Dubai-based Emaar Properties. It features 35 units, a 24/7 concierge service, gym, and saltwater swimming pool.
