After securing a buyer for his Westlake Village, CA, property for $6.6 million in January, the Los Angeles Lakers superstar Anthony Davis has scored a posh pad in Bel-Air, the Real Deal reported.

According to the outlet, the off-market deal closed for around $32 million last month, through a trust associated with the player.

While the transaction happened quietly, the villa itself speaks to over-the-top opulence.

The 16,814-square-foot, newly renovated main house offers views that include golf course and canyons. It’s spread on 3.5 acres, within the guard-gated community of Bel Air Crest.

The expansive space features a great hall with an impressive, 35-foot-high glass dome ceiling, flowing into a light-filled, entertainment-style living room. Made for entertaining in grand style (or for hosting the rest of the Lakers team), the formal dining room seats 20, and the state-of-the-art, eat-in kitchen includes a butler’s pantry.

With eight bedrooms, eight full bathrooms, and three powder rooms, the spread includes a master suite with views of the Pacific Ocean and Catalina Island. The layout of the grand mansion boasts high-end finishes, like custom stone, marble, and walnut wood floors.

Built in 2010, the estate last sold in 2016 for $10 million. The buyer, the real estate developer Ted Foxman, secured Lonni Paul as the designer for the renovations. Their two-year overhaul made substantial updates to the mansion, which were showcased in Elle Decor.

Other perks include a home theater, wine cellar, a game room with wet bar, and outdoor space with an eye-catching Olympic-sized pool, cabana, tennis court, and basketball court.

The plush property is an All-Star upgrade, one the power forward can well afford, after he re-upped with the Lakers last year, in a five-year, $190 million deal.

AD had less luck with his Westlake Village home, which he sold at a loss. He purchased the home in 2018 for just under $7.5 million.

Two years later, he attempted to flip the 16,000-square-foot, resortlike retreat for just under $8 million. The remodeled Mediterranean offered a pool with waterfall and slide, as well as a basketball court. He cut the price in October 2020 to $7.5 million, and it sold at the end of last year at the even lower amount.

While awaiting a sale of the Westlake home, “The Brow” gave Bel-Air a spin. He rented a mansion (not the one he eventually purchased) for $50,000 a month. The six-bedroom estate in a gated community featured a gourmet kitchen, gym, pool, and, naturally, a basketball court.

A renter no more, Davis must have taken a shine to the area and was willing to pay a hefty sum to get his dream house. According to Dirt, the sale price is the most ever paid for a Bel Air Crest home.

The Lakers standout is in good company when it comes to laying out huge sums for deluxe real estate. His teammate, LeBron James, picked up an enormous Beverly Hills compound on almost 3 acres that he snagged for a jaw-dropping sum of $36.75 million last fall. And earlier this year, King James listed one of his Brentwood mansions for $20.5 million.

The Chicago native has played with the Lakers since 2019, and helped the team clinch the 2020 NBA championship. Previously, the All-Star manned the middle for the New Orleans Pelicans.
