“Barney Miller” star Hal Linden scored a quick sale of his gorgeous golf course getaway in La Quinta, CA.
The home was listed in November 2019 for $1,095,000, and a buyer quickly snatched it up for $1.07 million.
The 4,000-square-foot Mediterranean-style home is a golf lover’s dream and overlooks the sixth hole of the PGA WEST Stadium Course.
Deep in the Coachella Valley, La Quinta began as a desert resort in the 1920s. Nowadays, the bustling little town features restaurants, golf courses, tennis courts, a spa, and over 212 acres of parkland.
It’s also home to the nationally acclaimed Arnold Palmer Classic Course at Silver Rock Resort, the historic La Quinta Resort and Club, and the PGA WEST Golf Club and Resort. It’s also where you’ll find the Madison Club, an exclusive club that’s home to members of the Jenner clan.
Linden’s former home takes full advantage of the area’s scenic setting. It features a spacious patio with a dining area, fire pit, statue, and hot tub. The home leans into the Mediterranean vibe complete with a clay tile roof and courtyard.
The noteworthy details inside the home include the living room ceiling lined with wood beams, and an angled skylight brightens the spacious kitchen. The breakfast nook features stained-glass windows and sliding glass doors to the small courtyard.
Linden, 88, is best known for playing police Capt. Barney Miller on the sitcom, which ran from 1975 to 1982. He received seven Primetime Emmy and three Golden Globe nominations for the role. He got his start in showbiz as a big-band singer and musician before moving to Broadway and TV. Linden continues to act, recently appearing in an episode of “Grey’s Anatomy.”
